Manager – Technical Internal Audit (Mechanical – Power Plant)

We are looking for a highly competent Manager – Technical Internal Audit with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and Power Plant Operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in technical internal audits, plant performance evaluation, and Quality Control (QC) within power generation facilities.

This role requires strong technical insight into plant machinery, operational efficiency, maintenance systems, and compliance with engineering and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical internal audits of power plant operations, focusing on mechanical systems and equipment performance.
• Evaluate preventive and corrective maintenance systems.
• Review plant efficiency, downtime analysis, and operational KPIs.
• Assess quality control (QC) procedures for plant machinery and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Identify technical gaps, operational inefficiencies, and compliance risks.
• Audit procurement and utilization of mechanical spare parts and inventory controls.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare detailed technical audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive action plans.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 6–10+ years of experience in Power Plant Operations / Technical Internal Audit
• Strong knowledge of turbines, boilers, generators, and auxiliary mechanical systems
• Experience in plant QC processes and maintenance audits
• Familiarity with ISO standards, safety compliance, and regulatory frameworks
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• ERP / CMMS system exposure will be an added advantage
