Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for leading and managing the development and evaluation of investment strategies across airlines, cargo, logistics, and commercial sectors, ensuring alignment with KSIADC’s growth objectives through detailed financial assessments, scenario simulations, and performance tracking, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and risk mitigation in investment practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Investment

Provide support to relevant KSIADC functions in the development of investment strategies across airlines, cargo and logistics, and commercial sectors, focusing on financial priorities that align with KSIADC’s growth objectives

Develop and standardize templates, guidelines, procedures, and criteria for evaluating potential investments in the airline, cargo, logistics, and commercial sectors, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals

Define specific KPIs and financial performance metrics for each investment initiative to track success and ensure alignment with KSIADC’s broader strategic objectives

Establish a financial analysis methodology that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative criteria to assess the viability of airline, cargo, logistics, and commercial investments, ensuring comprehensive decision-making

Develop a standardized framework to guide financial assessments, ensuring all evaluations adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements, and provide a clear basis for investment decisions

Build detailed financial models for each investment opportunity, projecting cash flows, returns, risks, and other financial metrics, providing a solid foundation for decision-making across sectors

Simulate various investment scenarios to assess financial impact and support decision-making, enabling KSIADC to anticipate potential outcomes and select the most beneficial investments

Conduct thorough financial assessments for potential investments in airlines, cargo, logistics, and commercial sectors, ensuring alignment with KSIADC’s strategic objectives and growth plans

Perform due diligence to validate the feasibility and credibility of each investment opportunity, ensuring financial risks are mitigated and the investments are aligned with KSIADC’s long-term goals

Document findings from due diligence activities, supporting informed decision-making, identifying potential risks, and ensuring investments are financially sound and in line with strategic objectives

Review the performance of investments by comparing actual results with initial projections, measuring success, and providing insights for continuous improvement in investment strategies

Identify deviations from expected financial performance and conduct root-cause analyses, proposing corrective actions and adjustments to optimize future investment outcomes

Monitor investments against pre-set budgetary targets and timelines, ensuring financial milestones are met and maintaining financial discipline across all sectors

Track financial performance of investments, ensuring that they align with agreed terms and budgets, and providing regular reports to key stakeholders to keep them informed of progress

Ensure final investment reports are documented, detailing the status of each investment and archiving lessons learned for future reference, enhancing future investment decision-making processes
Policies, Processes and Procedures

Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner

Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
People Management

Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable

Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes
Job Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in similar role or equivalent is required

Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role or equivalent

Master’s degree in similar role or equivalent is preferred
