Manager - Vendor Development

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Vendor Development Manager to lead our vendor development activities in the automotive & Defence sector. The candidate will be responsible for supplier identification, development, quality improvement, and coordination with internal teams to ensure smooth procurement and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Vendor Development team and manage supplier relationships.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for engineering components.
• Ensure quality, cost optimization, and timely delivery from suppliers.
• Work closely with production, quality, and purchase teams.
• Monitor vendor performance and implement improvement initiatives.
• Reporting directly to Director / CTO & PMO.

Required Qualifications

• B.E. Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Minimum 7 years experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of castings, forgings (ferrous & non-ferrous).
• Exposure to pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in rubber, plastic, synthetic products development.
• Automotive industry background preferred.
• Experience working in a machine shop environment.

Additional Requirements

• Strong leadership and vendor management skills.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple vendors.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
