Duties

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
• Supervise team members, providing guidance and support to meet sales goals and uphold customer service standards
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Assist customers with product demos, answering questions to enhance their shopping experience
• Handle cash handling duties with precision, including balancing registers at shift end
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain an attractive store environment
• Upsell products by recommending additional items to boost sales and customer satisfaction
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
• Conduct merchandising activities to ensure products are well-presented and organized
• Support inventory management through stocking and stock rotation practices

Experience

• Prior supervisory experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for leading others is essential
• Demonstrated cashiering skills with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to connect effectively with diverse customers and team members
• Experience in retail sales, upselling, product demos, and merchandising is highly valued
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change-making and inventory counts
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments enhances your effectiveness in this role
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
