About the Role

The Senior Manager/Manager – Finance will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in accounting, audits, taxation, and stakeholder coordination, along with the ability to support management in strategic and financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
• Prepare and review MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS and applicable Accounting Standards.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic re-forecasting exercises.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and provide actionable insights.
• Support management with financial modeling and business analysis.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
• Coordinate with tax consultants for assessments, audits, and regulatory notices.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits end-to-end.
• Strengthen internal controls and SOPs to mitigate financial and compliance risks.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and action points.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor cash flows, working capital, receivables, and payables.
• Manage banking relationships and oversee fund utilization.
• Support treasury activities including payments, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Act as a key point of contact for auditors, consultants, banks, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor and manage junior finance team members.
• Coordinate closely with operations, HR, compliance, and leadership teams.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance
• Experience in budgeting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Zoho Books / Tally / SAP / Oracle or similar)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• High attention to detail with a strong ownership mindset

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, or Accounting (mandatory)

Preferred Experience

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles
• Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or startups (if applicable)
• Prior exposure to IRDAI / RBI / SEBI or other statutory reporting (preferable)
