About SCF:
Sindh Community Foundation (SCF), established in 2001 and registered under the Societies Act in 2007, is a non-governmental organization based in Hyderabad, Sindh. It focuses on empowering marginalized communities—especially women, youth, and minorities—through initiatives in education, health, climate change, youth development, and social justice. SCF holds special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC and is PCP certified. With regional offices across Sindh, SCF has earned national and international recognition for advancing community resilience and rights-based development.
Background:
The Women Economic Empowerment Fund (WEEF) is a climate-responsive, women-led economic endowment initiative established by Sindh Community Foundation to support women entrepreneurs, artisans, and workers in climate-vulnerable regions of Sindh. The Fund provides seed grants, interest-free loans, green skills development, market linkages, and post-disaster livelihood recovery assistance.
The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and operational oversight to ensure the Fund’s sustainability, growth, and long-term impact.
Purpose of the Position:
The Managing Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and scaling of WEEF. The role ensures that the Fund operates as a transparent, financially sound, climate-resilient, and women-centered economic mechanism, delivering sustained and measurable impact. The Managing Director will be based at Hyderabad Sindh, with frequent travel to program districts.
Reporting Line:
Reports to: Executive Director, Sindh Community Foundation (SCF)
Accountable to: Fund Governance Committee for strategic oversight, policy direction, and performance review of the Women Economic Empowerment Fund.
The Managing Director will work in close coordination with the Executive Director, SCF to ensure alignment with SCF’s institutional vision, governance standards, and women-centered climate resilience programming.

Any breach of Code of Conduct or the Child Protection Policy by employees of SCF during the course of their employment will result in disciplinary action up to, and including dismissal.
