Managing Director, Input Financing

Growers Edge is looking for an exceptional Managing Director, Input Financing to build, lead, and scale one of the company’s most important growth businesses.

This is not a traditional business development role. It is a general manager role with responsibility for strategy, execution, and business line profit and loss. The right leader will combine deep knowledge of input financing with a relentless, make-it-happen entrepreneurial mindset. They will know the market, understand partner economics, spot opportunity quickly, and turn ideas into action.

This person will lead the growth of Growers Edge’s input financing business with ag retailers, manufacturers, and other strategic partners across the agricultural ecosystem. They will build relationships, shape solutions, influence product direction, drive revenue and profitability, and help position Growers Edge as an indispensable partner to the businesses that serve farmers.

Just as important, this leader will be motivated by more than commercial success. This role sits at the intersection of finance, innovation, and agriculture’s future. It is a chance to help farmers thrive by reducing risk, making capital more available, and helping the businesses that serve farmers become more successful. For the right person, this is a role that appeals to both the head and the heart.

What You’ll Own:

Lead the input financing business line with full responsibility for growth, strategy, execution, and P&L performance.

Build and expand relationships with ag retailers, manufacturers, and other strategic partners.

Identify market opportunities and translate partner needs into scalable financing solutions that create real value.

Develop and execute commercial plans that grow revenue, gross profit, renewals, and market share.

Evaluate partner financial needs, credit strengths, and risk considerations to structure sound, effective solutions.

Partner cross-functionally to shape products, services, and go-to-market strategies that strengthen Growers Edge’s position in the market.

Monitor portfolio performance, forecast results, analyze variances, and drive corrective action when needed.

Ensure strong alignment across sales, servicing, credit, and leadership teams to deliver great outcomes for partners and growers.

Maintain a strong market presence and serve as a credible, strategic advisor to senior leaders across the ag value chain.

Build the playbook, discipline, and momentum needed to scale a high-impact business.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, agribusiness, or a related field.

Significant experience in agricultural lending, credit, input financing, or adjacent ag finance solutions.

Deep knowledge of input financing and the ability to apply that expertise in practical, commercially effective ways.

Proven success as an entrepreneurial leader who builds, solves, pushes through obstacles, and gets things done.

Strong business and financial acumen, including experience managing or influencing revenue, profitability, and portfolio performance.

Ability to understand partner economics, assess risk, and develop solutions that work for both the customer and the business.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills across executive, commercial, and operational audiences.

Credibility with ag retail and manufacturing partners and the ability to quickly become a trusted advisor.

Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where resourcefulness, urgency, and ownership matter.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and standard business tools.

Why This Role Matters

Agriculture does not need more generic financing. It needs smarter solutions, better alignment, and leaders who understand what is at stake for farmers and the businesses that support them.

This role is a chance to build something meaningful: a business that helps expand access to capital, improve resilience, and create better outcomes across the agricultural ecosystem. It is an opportunity for a leader who knows input financing cold, loves building, and wants their work to matter in a very real way.
