Managing Director - Investment Banking
The Managing Director leads the investment banking business, driving revenue through client origination, relationship management, and execution of M&A, capital raising, and other strategic transactions. This role is responsible for building senior client relationships, winning mandates, and overseeing deal teams to ensure successful transaction delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Originate new business opportunities and maintain a strong pipeline of deals.
- Build and manage relationships with corporate clients, investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead execution of mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, debt, and equity transactions.
- Oversee pitch preparation, valuations, negotiations, due diligence, and closing processes.
- Manage and mentor junior bankers, including analysts, associates, and vice presidents.
- Work closely with internal product, sector, and legal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal risk standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Proven track record of originating and executing transactions.
- Strong client relationship and business development skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Deep knowledge of financial markets, valuation, and transaction structuring.
- Ability to manage teams and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
