Managing Director - Investment Banking

The Managing Director leads the investment banking business, driving revenue through client origination, relationship management, and execution of M&A, capital raising, and other strategic transactions. This role is responsible for building senior client relationships, winning mandates, and overseeing deal teams to ensure successful transaction delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Originate new business opportunities and maintain a strong pipeline of deals.
  • Build and manage relationships with corporate clients, investors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead execution of mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, debt, and equity transactions.
  • Oversee pitch preparation, valuations, negotiations, due diligence, and closing processes.
  • Manage and mentor junior bankers, including analysts, associates, and vice presidents.
  • Work closely with internal product, sector, and legal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal risk standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of originating and executing transactions.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of financial markets, valuation, and transaction structuring.
  • Ability to manage teams and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Contract, Internship, New grad
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: QAR170.00 - QAR200.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
