About the Role
Felipe Villanueva Energy Capital (FVEC) is a specialized investment firm bridging the gap between international capital and the MENA energy sector. Based in Sharjah, we operate at the intersection of traditional Oil & Gas resilience and the emerging renewable transition.

We are seeking a Managing Director of Investment to lead our capital deployment strategy. This is a role for a "Deal Architect." You will not just manage a portfolio; you will build one. You will identify undervalued assets in the Northern Emirates and the wider GCC—from midstream logistics in Hamriyah to brownfield power projects—and structure complex acquisitions. You will report directly to the Board and hold the mandate to expand FVEC’s Assets Under Management (AUM) significantly over the next 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Origination & Execution: Lead the entire investment lifecycle. You will source proprietary deal flow, oversee rigorous financial modeling/valuation, lead due diligence, and negotiate SPAs (Share Purchase Agreements).
• Portfolio Management: Act as an active owner. You will sit on the boards of portfolio companies, driving operational improvements and preparing assets for exit (IPO or Trade Sale).
• Capital Raising: Work alongside the Principals to present the FVEC investment thesis to Limited Partners (LPs), Family Offices, and Institutional Investors.
• Sector Strategy: Define our "Energy Transition" roadmap. You will balance high-yield traditional energy assets with strategic bets on solar, hydrogen, and waste-to-energy projects.
• Team Leadership: Mentor a high-performing team of Associates and VPs. You will set the standard for financial rigor and investment memos.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 15+ years in Private Equity, Investment Banking (Energy Desk), or Corporate M&A, with at least 5 years in a Managing Director or Principal role.
• Track Record: You must have a "Tombstone" sheet demonstrating successful deal closures in the Energy/Infrastructure space (Deal sizes: $50M - $500M).
• Regional Network: Deep relationships with asset owners, government entities, and debt providers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
• Technical Acumen: You understand the physics of energy as well as the finance. You can evaluate the viability of a refinery upgrade or a solar park.
• Education: MBA from a top-tier business school or CFA Charterholder is expected.

Pay: AED90,000.00 - AED130,000.00 per month
