Managing Director – Real Estate Investment Firm (Capital Markets Focus)

Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Managing Director with expertise in real estate capital markets and fundraising to lead the firm’s capital formation and investor relations initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing institutional and private capital relationships, executing fundraising strategies, and strengthening the firm’s position in the capital markets.

This is a senior leadership role for an executive who is both strategic and hands-on — capable of raising capital, building lasting investor partnerships, and driving platform growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the firm’s capital raising efforts for real estate funds, syndications, and direct investment opportunities.
• Develop and execute a capital markets and fundraising strategy targeting institutional investors, family offices, and private wealth channels.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with limited partners (LPs), consultants, and placement agents.
• Manage investor relations, including updates, reporting, and due diligence coordination.
• Collaborate with the acquisitions, asset management, and finance teams to align capital deployment with investor objectives.
• Identify and structure joint venture partnerships and co-investment opportunities.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meetings, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate private equity, investment management, or capital markets.
• Proven track record of raising institutional and private capital for real estate funds or investment vehicles.
• Strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and intermediaries.
• Deep understanding of real estate investment structures, fund formation, and underwriting fundamentals.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
