The Role
This individual will develop, support, and implement strategies that enhance talent recruitment, retention, and development efforts—advancing regional prosperity by attracting top talent, cultivating internal growth opportunities, and building a strong, sustainable talent pipeline. Oversee the events of the talent and workforce scope of work including task force meetings, signature events, and membership meetings.
Reporting Structure
This individual will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Education, Talent & Workforce and assist with overall operations of this team.

Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The duties and responsibilities include the following, though other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and oversee the Talent Strategies team, driving alignment with organizational goals and ensuring high performance and operational excellence.
- Design and execute signature talent and workforce initiatives, including major convenings and programs such as the State of Talent and Workforce, Talent Taskforce, Talent Talks, and Talent Labs.
- Support organizational growth initiatives, including fundraising, sponsorship development, and membership engagement, while maintaining accurate constituent data.
- Serve as a spokesperson and thought leader, representing the DRC’s talent strategy at regional and national levels.
- Drive innovative talent strategies and programs that address workforce challenges and advance regional talent mobility.
- Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships, engaging employers, HR organizations, and cross-sector leaders to align talent efforts with regional economic priorities.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and convening efforts, connecting business and community leaders to shape talent solutions and expand member value.
- Communicate key policy, program, and workforce insights to members and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance.
- Collaborate across teams to achieve organization-wide goals, budgets, and strategic priorities.
- Exercise sound judgment and political acumen in advancing talent strategies, partnerships, and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required and two to four years related experience and/or training.
Professional and comprehensive experience in an applicable field, with preference for prior experience in human resources, and/or with an organization that is similar in mission and activities to the DRC.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee the Talent Strategies team, which may include a Coordinator, Manager, and Director.
