Responsibilities

• Translate written documents from Mandarin to English and vice versa, maintaining original meaning and tone
• Interpret spoken conversations in real-time during meetings, conferences, or phone calls to facilitate seamless communication
• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness
• Transcribe audio or video recordings in Mandarin or English with precision and attention to detail
• Collaborate with project teams to adapt content for different audiences while preserving linguistic integrity
• Conduct linguistic research to ensure accurate terminology usage across diverse fields
• Provide interpretation support during live events or client interactions as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mandarin translator or interpreter with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English, with exceptional communication skills in both languages
• Deep understanding of translation techniques, interpretation methods, and transcription processes
• Excellent proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of linguistics principles and cultural nuances relevant to Mandarin and English languages
• Strong writing skills capable of producing clear, concise, and culturally appropriate content
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines

Preferred qualifications include multilingual capabilities beyond Mandarin and English, previous experience working in diverse industries such as legal, medical, or technical fields, and familiarity with translation software tools.
