Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Buyer responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to meet the operational requirements of the organization, considering price, quality, and delivery timeliness. This role involves managing vendor relationships, maintaining accurate procurement records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience.
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practices.
- Experience in manufacturing preferred but not required.
- Professional certifications are an advantage (i.e., CPM, CPSM, CPIM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies and cost objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Sourcing and selecting suppliers, evaluating quotes, and negotiating pricing.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new suppliers to meet evolving business needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to avoid shortages and overstocking.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery. Responsible for all PO status updates until received in house.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, delivery records, and supplier information.
- Resolve issues related to delivery, pricing, quality, or quantity discrepancies.
- Assist with cycle-counts and year-end inventory (Dec).
- Help ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present purchasing reports and summaries as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to cost savings, lead time reduction, and inventory turnover.
Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems is required (preferably NetSuite).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes, and inventory management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
