Manicurist and Nail Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nail care services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and creativity
• Maintain strict sanitation and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable treatments, and upsell additional services or retail products
• Stay current with the latest nail trends, techniques, and industry standards to provide innovative services
• Assist clients with skin care treatments related to nails, including cuticle care and hand/foot massages
• Manage retail sales by promoting nail products, tools, and accessories that enhance client satisfaction
• Ensure all tools and workstations are clean, organized, and ready for each appointment

Skills

• Strong knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing nail designs
• Excellent customer service skills to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction
• Proficiency in sanitation practices aligned with health regulations to maintain a hygienic workspace
• Formal training in cosmetology or esthetician licensing with specialization in nail care
• Experience with advanced nail techniques such as gel application, acrylics, nail art, and extensions
• Familiarity with hair extensions, body waxing, eyelash extensions, hair styling, hair threading, dermabrasion, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus
• Ability to upsell retail products effectively while maintaining genuine client relationships
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and listen attentively to client needs
• Retail math skills for managing sales transactions accurately
• Knowledge of barbering techniques is advantageous for offering diverse beauty services
