Manicurist and Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform professional manicure and pedicure treatments using various techniques and products
• Create custom nail designs, including intricate nail art and gel extensions, to meet client preferences
• Maintain strict sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff
• Educate clients on nail care routines, product benefits, and aftercare instructions
• Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, treatments, and skincare items to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Assist with additional beauty services like eyelash extensions, body waxing, or hair styling as needed
• Keep detailed records of services provided, client preferences, and treatment plans for future visits

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology from an accredited program
• Proven experience in nail care services including gel nails, acrylics, and intricate nail art
• Strong knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing designs
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients
• Knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards in a salon setting
• Familiarity with retail sales techniques and upselling strategies to promote products effectively
• Additional skills such as hair extensions, hair threading, dermabrasion, or laser treatments are a plus but not required
