Manual Jewellery Designer (Sketch Artist)

Scarlett Designs and Jewellery is looking for an experienced Manual Jewellery Designer (Sketch Artist) to join our design team. The role focuses on hand-drawn jewellery sketches for fine jewellery and LGD collections, with close coordination with CAD and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality manual hand sketches for jewellery designs
• Develop new designs for collections and custom orders
• Prepare detailed design sheets with measurements and technical details
• Work closely with CAD designers to convert manual sketches accurately
• Review CAD renders and suggest corrections to match the original concept
• Support new product development, themes, and seasonal collections
• Coordinate with merchandising and production teams for sampling and approvals
• Select suitable metals, gemstones, and settings based on design and durability
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, setting, and finishing requirements
• Maintain proper design records, versions, and documentation
• Follow internal design standards and production guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Manual Jewellery Design
• Strong skills in hand sketching, illustration, and jewellery visualization
• Good knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes (stone setting, metalwork, soldering)
• Experience using CorelDraw (basic CAD understanding is required)
• Understanding of gemstones, metals, jewellery components, and pricing
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and measurements
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and creativity
• Ability to handle multiple designs and meet deadlines

Work Environment

• In-house role at a jewellery manufacturing and design company
• Close coordination with CAD, production, and merchandising teams
• Hands-on involvement from design to final product
