Manual Machinist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating manual lathe machines to fabricate precision parts. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, holiday pay, profit sharing and much more.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirements
- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Perform precision machining operations to tight tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to ensure quality standards are met

Skills

Required
Experience with manual lathes

Familiarity with general machining practices

Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations

Ability to use calipers and other measuring instruments accurately

Mechanical knowledge for understanding machine operations

Preferred but NOT Required

Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques is beneficial

Knowledge of collector heads

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
