Manual Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Quality Assurance Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in testing web applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, design documents, and user stories to identify test scenarios
• Create, review, and execute manual test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
• Perform different types of testing including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, UI, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Validate fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements
• Ensure application quality across browsers, devices, and screen resolutions
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance / Software Testing
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC
• Hands-on experience with manual testing techniques and defect management
• Experience testing web applications (mobile app testing is a plus)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Good to Have (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to API testing (Postman or similar tools)
• Experience with cross-browser and responsive testing
