Manual Straightener - 2nd shift

Responsible for straightening parts and checking the straightness of parts in accordance with work instructions to meet customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for strengthening parts per customer requirements.
• Check orders in Straightening area for paperwork accuracy, verify count and move to next location
• Follow urgent needs jobs through the straightening area to guarantee delivery
• Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Maintain production quality to customer requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed.
• Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
• Cross train in other finishing areas.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work with a sense of urgency
• Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operation to be performed
• Ability to use dial indicators
• Good interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
