Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Kent, WA (Onsite)

The Manufacturing Engineer will apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing and production processes for the efficient and economical production of aerospace products. This role is responsible for integrating design requirements into processes and procedures through research and development of manufacturing methods, tooling and equipment, facilities, and systems to produce a quality product.
The position also leads planning and development of engineering artifacts to enable the transformation of raw materials into finished products that meet design and system requirements. The engineer will guide design teams on technical specifications to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques, ensuring production processes and procedures comply with specifications and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing work instructions to define processes such as fabrication, assembly, and integration.
- Manage quality, build sequence, and schedule for hardware manufacturing processes.
- Perform engineering drawing impact assessments.
- Disposition non-conformance repair and rework activities.
- Support manufacturing floor operations including assembly, installation, compliance to engineering requirements, discrepancy resolution, and component acceptance testing.
- Investigate root causes, disposition discrepancies, and lead corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 7+ years of direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, mechanical design, and GD&T.
- Proficient with business and engineering tools such as CAD, PLM, Scheduling software, MS Office, Windchill, etc.
- Experience developing processes compliant with industry quality systems (e.g., AS9100).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and geographic locations.
- Physically able to support production floor activities, climb stairs, and work in small spaces.
Desired Skills
- Aerospace or launch vehicle manufacturing experience.
- Broad background in hardware manufacturing (welding, assembly, integration, machining, cleaning, packaging, instrumentation, etc.).
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of fabrication, integration, and configuration management systems.
- Practical experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with applicable industry standards.

Pay: $70.55 - $85.04 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
