The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning to optimize production.
Essential Job Functions
- Review production schedules, engineering specification, process flows, and other information.
- Identify ways to manufacture parts or products with maximum efficiency.
- Enact quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize cost.
- Design control systems to coordinate activities and production planning to ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Assist in Continuous Improvement projects such as developing, assembling or modifying existing and new tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient production methods.
- Generate cost analysis and metrics calculations.
- Supply, manage and analyze systems and machinery, if applicable.
- Align to company mission, values and comply with safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field) preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, or related field.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- Knowledge of production processes, costs, quality control, raw materials and other methods for maximizing the efficient manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Analytical and detail oriented.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 lbs.
