Role Purpose: Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction within the manufacturing process.
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and processes.
- Implement strategies to enhance safety, quality, and productivity to meet continuous improvement targets.
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment, fixtures, tooling, and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Write programs, product routings, design fixtures and tooling.
- Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, equipment specifications, and project status. Generate reports for management and project stakeholders.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Identify and address potential manufacturing risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
- Work safely every day and supporting efforts to maintain an injury free workplace.
- Define and establish part inspection processes that are cost effective and meet all quality requirements.
- Change and improve processes to increase productivity and competitiveness.
- Meet cost and schedule commitments while maintaining the utmost standards for quality.
- Promote a spirit of cooperation and follow company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic controls engineering, with hands-on experience in designing and troubleshooting electronic circuits and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring schematics.
- Solid understanding of network technology, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and IP protocols.
- Experience in software flashing/commissioning of microcontrollers, preferably in embedded systems.
- Strong system debugging skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex electrical and software issues.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
