Senior Manufacturing Technician
Greeley, CO · Full-Time · On-site
Noffsinger Manufacturing Company is currently searching for an energetic and well-rounded individual to support our varied and dispersed manufacturing operations. We are looking for an outstanding performer that can work alongside executive management, production, maintenance, and engineers / technicians to support continuous improvement and growth of the company. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Engineering and Operations.
Since 1924, Noffsinger Manufacturing Company has been family-owned and an industry leader in the manufacture of agricultural conveyance products and related components. Headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, we operate additional manufacturing facilities in Idaho, Minnesota, and Canada. Major processes include steel forging, forming, punching, heat treatment, machining, and welding, as well as rubber cutting, molding, and over-molding, plus riveting and painting.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at our Greeley, Colorado headquarters, this role is focused first and foremost on improving manufacturing processes — driving down lead times, eliminating non-value-added waste, and increasing capacity, capability, and efficiency at the point of production. You'll primarily support the Colorado operation while also supporting our Idaho, Minnesota, and Canada facilities as needed to support operations and roll out improvements.
We care more about what you can do than how you learned it. If you've built deep manufacturing expertise on the shop floor and grown into having a knack for improving how the work gets done, we encourage you to apply — that experience is exactly what this role is built around.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Study how the work runs on the floor to identify and put better practices in place, drawing on hands-on knowledge of fabrication, assembly, tooling/molding, and materials; gathering input from operators and working with equipment vendors.
- Recommend and help implement changes that increase capacity, capability, and efficiency — reducing lead times, cutting non-value-added waste, and improving space utilization — while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and fixtures to keep production running and improvements in place.
- Lead trial runs and first-article checks when rolling out a process change.
- Help maintain product and process quality by running tests, checking process capability, confirming processes are being followed, and helping establish and document standards.
- Keep process documentation, work instructions, and routings accurate and up to date.
- Drive lean manufacturing practices and principles (5S, Kanban, Kaizen, visual management, value-stream mapping, etc.) to reduce lead times.
- Coach and mentor operators on new methods, standards, and best practices.
- Support capital and improvement projects — helping scope the work, coordinating with internal teams and outside vendors, and seeing changes through on the floor.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Hands-on manufacturing experience required; no degree necessary. Relevant technical training or an engineering degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of manufacturing process improvement/control, tool design, and/or project management experience.

- Strong relationship development among all levels of the organization, along with a "hands-on," "roll up your sleeves" style.
- Experience and/or willingness to utilize AI tools as a matter of course.
- Good organizational and independent critical thinking skills.
- Troubleshoot/identify electro-mechanical and PLC issues.
- Troubleshoot/identify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Hands-on experience with custom machines and tooling, including the ability to create and edit 3D CAD models and drawings (SolidWorks preferred) — full design experience a plus.

- Good oral and written communication skills.
