Manufacturing Engineer (Shift Mon-Thur 4pm-2.30am)

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in production. This position requires a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles and experience within a manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that optimize production lines and improve overall operational performance.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing and engineering processes and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate advanced technologies such as Vision inspection systems and logic controllers into existing processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Oversee the assembly line operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Utilize programming skills to automate processes and improve workflow.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on new equipment and processes.
  • Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement and implement
  • Review and update PFMEA, process control plan and work instructions
  • Lead VDA and IATF compliance measures
  • Launch new program and take ownership of current & future assembly lines.
  • Build samples for new program: check quantities of parts, track parts, establish build plan, review open issues.
  • Implement cost saving ideas.
  • Provide on-site technical support during startup and commissioning of new installations.
  • Develop, interpret and implement policies and procedures.
  • Identify problems and implement cost effective solutions.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards per company rules.
  • Perform other duties are required.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a manufacturing facility with hands-on knowledge of assembly line operations, test equipment manufacturing and mechanical design experience.
  • Familiarity with Quantum engineering concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with Vision inspection systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of logic controllers and their application in manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in programming for automation purposes.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Pneumatic and hydraulic and basic electrical knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
