Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting daily production operations through hands-on interaction with manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with process improvements. This role focuses on maintaining equipment performance, supporting production efficiency, and implementing solutions to meet customer and business requirements.
The position works closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure equipment and processes are operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Major Responsibilities/Activities

Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to support daily production

Perform routine equipment setup, adjustments, and changeovers

Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment and production lines

Identify equipment inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives

Perform basic root cause analysis on equipment and process issues and assist in implementing corrective actions

Perform basic problem-solving activities and A3 style problem solving activities

Support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed

Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and equipment documentation

Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions

Conduct basic system or product testing as required

Document production issues, equipment performance, and corrective actions
Additional Responsibilities:
This role may participate in cross-functional projects and support activities outside of core responsibilities, particularly those involving equipment, tooling, or production processes.
Minimum Requirements

Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)

5 – 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing equipment and tools

Experience with troubleshooting equipment and basic maintenance practices preferred

Ability to read technical drawings and documentation

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Familiarity with PLC programming is a plus

Familiarity with CAD or 3D modeling software is a plus

Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support production
