Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician day shift

Kelly Box & Packaging Corp. is seeking a motivated, hands on, 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am) Maintenance Technician who is capable of leading others, while supporting the company’s safety policies, quality and production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Support the maintenance needs of all machinery and facilities through timely troubleshooting and repair to ensure the production goals of the business are met
• Follow existing and continue development of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Lead other maintenance technicians in daily duties
• Equipment Fabrication
• Tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Requirements:

• Must have minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical trades
• Must have strong electrical skillset that includes 3 phase and single phase, troubleshooting tools, relay logic, motor controls and drive systems.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, welding and mechanical workings
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics as well as PLC ladder logic
• Make decisions and work independently in a fast paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use MS Office and other PC based programs
• Perform tasks involving dexterity and mobility
• Provide own basic tools
• Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Education – High School Diploma or GED – Vocational Certifications preferred

Candidates must be able to:

• Work primarily during 2nd. shift, but must be willing to train during 1st. shift- work varying shifts, including occasional overtime and weekends as needed on short notice.
• Pass both math and mechanical/electrical knowledge tests
• Pass a drug screen and background checks
