POSITION OVERVIEW
Join our team as a Manufacturing Operations Specialist! This role is responsible for creating, managing, and scheduling work orders to ensure smooth operations in fabrication and machining. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent coordination across departments, and the ability to efficiently manage workloads.


TOP 5 RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Process assemblies by determining whether parts or weldments will be completed internally or externally, and process them accordingly.
  • Create and verify work orders, ensuring routing, materials, and other requirements are accurate for internal or external production.
  • Create or adjust rework work orders for scrapped or reworked parts.
  • Provide service quoting, including lead times, for requested parts.
  • Monitor and schedule workload for fabrication and machining to meet deadlines.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to ensure work order accuracy.

  • Maintain accurate records of materials, routing, and scheduling in the ERP system.
  • Monitor progress of work orders and adjust schedules as needed to meet production timelines.
  • Communicate status updates and potential delays to the project management team.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for scheduling and work order management processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with ERP systems and work order processing.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associate degree in business, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software or tools.
