We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join an innovative team in advancing manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, process optimization, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing facility.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology (Dr. Schenk) and contribute to the development of high-quality products across various manufacturing processes, including, surface quality, using computer vision software to identify flaws and defects and assembly line operations.
Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge and will be computer software savvy. Experience with industrial equipment, computer vision software (Dr. Schenk), and quality standards such as ISO 9001 is a HUGE PLUS but not required. Professional training and ramp up time will be offered upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify defects or process inefficiencies and develop corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project scheduling for process improvements, tooling updates, and new product launches.
- Oversee vision inspection systems and other industrial equipment to ensure consistent product quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance standards through rigorous inspection and documentation practices.
- Facilitate training sessions on process control, industrial engineering techniques, and safety procedures.
Experience
- Produce reports for machine vision projects that required advanced vision systems eg. XG-X, Linescan, Dr. Schenk, and 3D vision systems.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality engineering or process engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with quality camera systems
- Strong background in industrial equipment operation including, programming, robot programming, vision inspection systems, and tooling fabrication.
- Ability to analyze schematics, schematics interpretation skills (GD&T), and troubleshooting skills related to automation systems are essential for success in this role.
