Manufacturing Research Associate

Claret Bio in Scotts Valley, CA has a manufacturing group who produce and ship kits and reagents for several product lines. We seek a Manufacturing Research Associate to join our

Small team of scientists, creating better Next Generation Sequencing data through revolutionary molecular techniques. In this role, you will
be hands on in the production and quality control of our NGS library preparation line of products and associated reagents.

Bring your physical wet lab experience and great “lab hands” to the role. Work on a small team and interact with other production, sales and scientific staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with production team to help create a viable weekly/monthly build plan and ensure the schedule is maintained.
• Create reagents, label, and packages tubes.
• Ensure an ample product inventory is kept in stock and build logs are documented in all appropriate locations.
• Work with vendors to order and maintain raw reagent inventory.
• Create, follow and update current QCs and SOPs, troubleshoot when issues arise.
• Be an effective communicator of ideas, project goals and results.

Required Skills:

• Experience with wet lab biology, chemistry, or any other similar lab work
• Experience with pipetting
• Speak, read, write and understand business English

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or higher in Biology or similar field.
• Hands on experience with NGS or Molecular Biology.
• Experience with any facet of production

This hourly position starts at $25-27 per hour, depending on experience
