Manufacturing Shipping Clerk

BASIC FUNCTION

The Shipping Department is responsible for preparing products for shipments, including building crates and pallets, packaging them securely and maintaining an accurate inventory record. This role ensures shipments are properly protected, labeled and documented to meet company and customer requirements.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Can operate the following tools: chop saw, table saw, nail gun, staple gun and basic hand tools.

· Properly count, assign and tag all parts with appropriate part numbers, description and any other necessary information.

· Coordinate with the Shipping Lead or Production Supervisor on what duties are needed.

· Adhere to safety and quality procedures at all times.

· Perform additional duties and support tasks as assigned by management.

· Load and unload materials from trucks, forklift certified.

· Administer inventory control and processes for equipment stock area.

· Drop off any FedEx , UPS and Delta Cargo Packages.

· Able to work with large heavy items. 80+ pounds.

· Coordinate with Receiving Clerk if any incoming shipments arrive.REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year shipping and receiving experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with computer data entry.
• Must be able to safely and efficiently perform with zero assistance at least 75% of the duties in the Shipping and Receiving Dept.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
