Manufacturing Systems Data Engineer

About us

Trusted Metal LLC is a small business in Evans, GA. We believe that laser-based metal 3D printing can reproducibly build high criticality parts; however, not using current commercial systems that employ multiple black boxes. We're on a mission to eliminate industry black boxes and establish a Reproducible Digital Thread for transparent, efficient, and cost-effective part qualification

As a Manufacturing Systems Data Engineer at Trusted Metals, you will be responsible for implementing a data pipeline to enable advanced temporal and special registration of laser welding processes (3D metal printing) at 100KHz control to sub-micron microstructural features to enable the creation a data driven feed-forward processing algorithm. This role demands a quality first mindset, it’s not about the quantity of data if its accuracy is compromised. As a primary member of the data pipeline team communication skills are paramount to ensure data pedigree from pre-print preparation to the post-print destructive inspection and everything in between. Succes will enable the unification of a fractured metal 3d printing industry grounded in cold hard reproducible quality.
