Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Reports To: Manager Production

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail oriented, and eager to learn the skills required for applying vacuum coatings. The successful candidate will assist in preparing surfaces, operating coating equipment, and ensuring high quality finishes in accordance with industry standards and customer specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area utilizing 5S methodologies and in accordance with hazard assessment.
• Setup, operate, load and monitoring equipment operation, inspecting final product, cleaning the work environment and performing data entry.
• Actively participate in problem solving, continuous improvement and teaming activities.
• Support the training and development of new team members.
• Ensure that equipment is inspected/serviced as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by area supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus.
• At least 2 years of prior manufacturing experience, preference in semiconductor wafer fabrication or physical vapor deposition (sputter process), or equivalent.
• Solid computer and math skills, preference experience working with SCADA system or similar.
• Helpful to be mechanically inclined.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral; ability to read and write effectively.
• Ability to multi-task and approach tasks with detail-oriented manner.
• Ability to read and understand test plans and test set ups.
• Work ethic and ability to work well with others.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Requires standing for long periods and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to chemicals, fumes, and heat in a controlled environment.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and safety glasses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
