Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for operating production equipment resulting in finished product. This role also assists with cleaning duties and shipping finished product.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Inspects finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoots problems with equipment, devices, or products.
  • Plans and lays out work to meet production and schedule requirements.
  • Measures and records data associated with operating equipment.
  • Maintains operational records for all equipment.
  • Maintains clean work areas and ensures that production equipment is clean.
  • Verbally provides production, progress, or changeover reports to supervisor(s).
  • Cleans or collects hazardous and non-hazardous production waste, containers and transfers them to the proper areas.
  • Ships and receives orders and follows customer/carrier specifications.
  • Packages finished products and palletize for transport.
  • Operates computer systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Adheres to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for safety compliance.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience in manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Forklift certified or 1-2 years equivalent experience preferred.
  • Shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse a plus.
  • Ability to use various computer software including Windows, Microsoft Office, and Sage X3 ERP.
  • Mechanical skills, with the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Building maintenance and repair experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail.
  • Motivated to achieve results.
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
  • This position requires a regular presence on the plant floor.
