Position Summary

Are you passionate about helping older adults, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers access the resources they need to live independently and with dignity? MAC Inc. is seeking a compassionate and detail‑oriented MAP I&A Counselor to join our Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) team.

About the Role

In this client-centered position, you will provide information, assistance, and long-term care options counseling to individuals seeking support. You’ll help clients understand available resources, complete applications, and navigate programs that promote independence and well-being. You must be able to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining compassionate, high-quality customer service.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide individuals through available long-term care and community-based services
  • Support clients with completing applications and referrals
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure needs are met
  • Perform state-required Level I screenings
  • Enter client information accurately into required systems
  • Attend MAP meetings, trainings, and outreach events
  • Represent MAC Inc. at community events and presentations
  • Assist with managing the CRC/Assistive Technology Room

What We’re Looking For

  • Compassionate, patient, and client-focused approach to working with diverse populations
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple client needs, calls, data entry tasks, and deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field OR two (2) years of human services experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with data entry and reporting
  • Willingness to complete AIRS certification and Options Counseling training within two years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
