Position – Mapping Analyst/Medical Coder (Payer)

Location – Remote

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in Payer market
• Experience with US based code sets ICD-10-CM/PCS, ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS or international code sets such as ICD-10-AM, ICD-10-CA, ICD-10, CCI, OPCS, and/or ACHI experience required
• 5+ years equivalent experience in coding or code mapping

Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of medical terminologies, procedures, and ICD coding systems (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED, LOINC, NDC etc)
• Familiar with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical documentation
• Experience with medical chart abstraction and data annotation
• Detail-oriented with an ability to follow structured extraction guidelines
• Independently review clinical documents
• Extract relevant procedures, diagnoses, and concepts
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in annotations
• Flag ambiguities or inconsistencies in the data
• Detail-oriented with an ability to follow structured extraction guidelines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with machine learning, NLP and AI concepts is a plus

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $23.04 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
