Marina Groundskeeper & Facilities Handyman

Overview
Lake Sonoma Marina is seeking a versatile, high-energy Groundskeeper and Handyman to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our lakeside facilities. We are looking for a "renaissance" technician—someone who is as comfortable repairing a wooden dock as they are operating a pressure washer or troubleshooting a basic plumbing issue. If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems on the fly, and being part of a tight-knit crew, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: Perform routine repairs on docks, walkways, and buildings (carpentry, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing).
• Grounds Upkeep: Maintain landscaping, debris removal, and general cleanliness of the marina and surrounding public areas.
• Equipment Operation: Safely use power tools, tractors, pressure washers, and occasionally assist with boat moving or fueling systems.
• Team Support: Act as a flexible "rover" to assist other departments during peak hours or emergency situations.
• Safety Compliance: Identify and mitigate potential hazards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven Handyman Skills: 2+ years of experience in general construction, maintenance, or landscaping.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to assess a broken component and determine the most efficient path to repair.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift 50+ lbs, and remain on your feet for extended shifts.
• Team-First Attitude: Willingness to pivot tasks quickly based on marina needs and collaborate with the management team.
• Reliability: Consistent attendance and a valid driver’s license are required.
