We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Automation Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation and control systems on marine vessels. This role requires expertise in marine electronics, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and automation technology used in ships and offshore platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, and maintain automation and control systems on marine vessels and offshore structures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and instrumentation.
  • Perform system diagnostics, calibration, and preventive maintenance of automation equipment.
  • Integrate and configure marine automation systems such as propulsion control, power management, and alarm monitoring.
  • Work with ship engineers and technical teams to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Assist in commissioning and sea trials for new or upgraded automation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with marine industry regulations, classification society standards, and safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support and training to crew members and operators.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automation technology trends in the marine industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Marine Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marine automation or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
  • Experience with SCADA, HMI, VFDs, and marine instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with marine power management and propulsion control systems.
  • Knowledge of marine classification societies and IMO regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in ship automation system integration.
  • Certifications in marine automation or control systems.
  • Previous experience working with shipyards, shipowners, or marine service companies.
