Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine Construction Supervisor to lead and manage our marine construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with contractors, subcontractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the construction team, including crane operators, riggers, and other crew members.
  • Conduct pre-job briefs and walk-throughs to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure all employees are wearing appropriate PPE and following safety protocols.
  • Communicate project details, schedules, and responsibilities clearly to the team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the job site and the office or project manager.
  • Monitor the progress of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Provide on-the-job training and skill assessments for team members, including safety and equipment operation.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marine construction or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high productivity and adherence to safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles and barges, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Experience with crane operations and barge piloting.
  • Knowledge of environmental and turbidity monitoring (though not required, certification would be a plus).

Compensation:

  • Wage: $28 - $32 per hour, based on experience.
  • Overtime: Options for overtime available.
