Marine Electro-Mechanical

Purpose of the job:

We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our service team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems on a variety of vessels, ranging from recreational powerboats and sailboats to small commercial workboats. The ideal candidate has a strong background in low-voltage DC systems (similar to automotive) as well as marine AC shore power systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in outboard/inboard engines, charging systems, and battery management setups.

​-Main Engine Systems: Troubleshooting the electrical components of the main propulsion system, including electronic control units (ECUs) and sensors.

​-Electric Motors: Inspecting, testing, and overhauling various motors that drive pumps, fans, and compressors throughout the engine room.

(Brands: VOLVO, MAN, CATERPILLAR, CUMMINS, YANMAR, YAMAHA)

-Maintenance: Perform routine insulation tests (megger testing) on alternators, motors, and cables.

-Corrosion Control: Inspect and install galvanic isolators and bonding systems to prevent electrolysis and corrosion.

-Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of repairs, parts used, and system diagrams for client Boat.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

-High school or college graduate (Electronics, Electrical).

-Work Experience: Minimum 3 years

Pay: ﷼4,000.00 - ﷼5,000.00 per month
