Marine Engineer - Civil

We are hiring for a Marine Civil Engineer for a client here in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of marine construction projects including ports, offshore structures, coastal protection, dredging, piling, underwater pipelines, and submarine cable works
• Assist with construction planning, method statements, and work sequencing
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, subcontractors, and marine plant operators
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with design, quality, HSE, and project schedules
• Assist in quantity take-offs, progress measurement, and cost control
• Participate in inspections, surveys, and marine operations
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and technical submissions
• Support testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Marine / Coastal specialization preferred)
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in marine civil construction
• Experience working with a marine contractor is strongly preferred
• Practical knowledge of marine construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Familiarity with piling works, dredging operations, and offshore activities
• Understanding of international standards (BS, EN, ASTM) and local UAE regulations
• Proficient in AutoCAD and basic engineering software
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work on-site, offshore, and in marine environments

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience with marine piling, dredging, or coastal protection works
• Exposure to numerical modelling or geotechnical investigations
• Knowledge of HSE requirements for offshore and marine works

Experience working in the UAE or GCC region

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
