Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of main propulsion engines generators, stern drives, and outboards.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on all marine systems, including HVAC, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing, and fuel systems.
- Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and provide efficient, effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Manage and complete engine and system overhauls, installations, and retrofits.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the management team on maintenance schedules and project planning.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Marine Engineer or Mechanic, specifically on yachts.
- Proven, hands-on expertise with yacht propulsion systems and onboard systems.
- Strong electrical and electronic systems troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Must own a comprehensive set of professional tools.
- Physically able to work in confined spaces and perform demanding tasks in a marine environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-motivated work ethic.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications
- Experience with yacht management software for maintenance logging.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a significant plus.
