Role Description – Marine Fish Controller

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Marine Fish Controller will be responsible for overseeing the daily care, health, and management of marine fish within the shop. The role involves ensuring proper husbandry standards, maintaining tank conditions, and supporting customers with expert guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the health and behavior of marine fish and identify early signs of stress or disease
• Manage fish inventory, stock rotation, and quarantine procedures
• Conduct routine water quality testing and maintain optimal tank conditions
• Oversee cleaning, feeding, and maintenance schedules for tanks
• Diagnose and treat fish diseases with appropriate methods and medications
• Provide customer service, offering expert advice on marine fish care and compatibility
• Support overall shop operations and assist team members where needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience and knowledge in marine fish care and management
• Strong skills in water quality testing and tank maintenance
• Experience in diagnosing and treating fish diseases
• Knowledge of inventory management and organizational practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to deliver high-quality customer service and provide expert guidance
• Prior experience in the aquarium trade or related field is an advantage
• Passion for marine life and aquatics is essential
• Must be currently available in Dubai
• Note: A one-week trial period will be conducted to assess knowledge and practical skills
