Marine Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable Marine Mechanic to join our growing team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of marine vessels and equipment. Your expertise will help ensure boats and marine systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine vessels and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot gasoline and diesel engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and onboard components
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Install, repair, and replace marine rigging components while ensuring proper alignment and safety standards
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments
• Assist with vessel assembly, disassembly, and equipment installation
• Safely perform heavy lifting and material handling as required
• Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and work documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Marine Mechanic, Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or similar mechanical role
• Strong understanding of marine engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments
• Knowledge of marine rigging and sheet metal fabrication is preferred
• Experience with military, commercial, or industrial equipment is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license preferred
