Marine Mechanic - Outboard Engines

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced outboard mechanic. NSO Marine is a Honda full line marine dealer. We repair and maintenance all major brands including legacy 2 stroke engines. Besides engine repair, there is boat rigging, repower installation, wiring, accessory installation and wiring repair.

You'll have access to Honda OEM training online and in class. Specialty tools will be provided by the shop.

We have recently expanded the business to sell new boats and are currently a Pair Customs boat dealer. I'm looking for someone to relieve me from heading up the service side of the business.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair outboard engines via computer diagnostics, spec and test, and experience
• Perform routine/scheduled maintenance
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, including wiring repairs, ensuring all systems operate safely.
• Handle assembly, disassembly, and testing of outboard motors during repairs or upgrades.
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly and cordially with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice to boat owners.
• Represent the company professionally with and priority towards customer care

Experience

• Proven service technician experience working on marine engines or similar mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in engine repair, assembly, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic procedures for outboard engines.
• Electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting circuits, and proficient use of multi-meters.
• Experience with rigging
• Customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,600.00 per week
