Marine Operations Supervisor

We are looking for hiring of an expert and committed Operations Supervisor at our Jetty Sharjah in Hamriyah Free Zone who would be responsible for the efficient Deck/wheelhouse upkeep of a large fleet of Tugs, Barges, Crane barges, multicats, cranes, and Auxiliary equipment (Non-Technical).

LSI is an established company since 1994. In 2007, LSI opened its new premises in Sharjah Hamriyah Free Zone with a 13,545 sq. mt yard adjacent to the port Jetty reserved for LSI vessels and their associates. LSI currently owns 62 vessels, 8 cranes, manages several vessels for their owners, and employs around 350 full-time staff. Our services include marine chartering, marine transportation, ship management, towages, offshore support.

Qualifications:

• Mandatory Experience in the Marine Industry of approx. 10 years.
• Ideally should have experience as Captain or Chief Mate / 2nd/3rd Mate / Bosun.

Responsibilities:

• To supervise all Tugboats and crew at LSI base jetty and at the client project site especially ensuring crew are doing proper deck maintenance and officers are doing wheelhouse management (Non Technical for which we have another department)
• Have a mandate to provide instructions to all crew onboard LSI vessels on what needs to be done on their respective vessels daily.
• Monitors all the performance of the crew and makes the report to the Operation’s Manager
• Prepare and ensure all the LSI vessels while on standby at the LSI base jetty for the next projects
• Monitor/Ensure all LSI vessel's equipment/navigation and Safety equipment are in good working condition and all vessel's certificates are valid.
• In case of deficiencies on the vessels, equipment, or certifications, ensure that it's reported and coordinate with other respective departments for the solution and rectify deficiencies.
• *80 % of the job will be onboard tugboats and outside. 20% office-based Job. (approx.)
