This is an Offshore Marine Company, hence Applicant MUST be experienced in OFFSHORE Vessels, including ( Tug Boats, Safety Boats, Diving Boats, Anchor-holding, Multi Purpose Boats, Crew Boats, etc..)
The role is responsible for assisting and supporting the Marine Technical Director in all or some of the following tasks, as instructed by the superior:
Should be committed, compliant, and capable of executing tasks related to technical operations. Liaise, coordinate, conduct, and follow up with the stakeholders for the following:

Ordering, receiving, replacing, and storing spare parts for offshore vessels.

Performance, Testing, and Analysis.
-
Repair, maintenance, and refurbishment tasks.
-
Onshore & offshore site visits.
-
Coordination with internal and external auditors.
-
Handling planned and unplanned inspections.
-
Managing planned and unplanned dry docks.
-
Close out class, client, or other authority punch list.
-
Reviewing inventory of spares, tools, and consumables.
-
Dubai Technical, Iraq Technical team, and crew duties.
-
Technical team and engine room crew hiring interviews.
-
Investigation of technical accident & incidents.
-
Collecting and comparing subcontractor quotations.
-
Vessel’s fuel management system.
Ensure the success of the following:

Shall be based in Dubai, with regular site visits to the JAK fleet onshore & offshore

Conducting vessel inspection or dock repair in UAE or globally as per the natural vessel’s operation area or docking place
-
In contact 24/7 with the vessel in case of any major breakdown, attending the vessel during charter when necessary to give technical support.

Authority
The delegated authority is according to the direct superior's instructions, including but not limited to:

Communication with the technical team to achieve technical department goals.

Liaise and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to achieve plans.

Investigate technical accident & incidents.

Conducting technical team and engine room crew new hiring interviews.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
-
Marine School Diploma, or Technical College Certificate, or a combination of equivalent education,
-
PMP certification, Lean, or Six Sigma training will be an advantage.
-
Completion of a 4-year Technical Apprenticeship, a recognized Marine Course or a certificate of competency (COC).
Experience:
Minimum 15 years of comprehensive technical experience as follows:
-
10 years’ experience in the rank of Chief Engineer on board ships.
-
10 years of relevant conversion or a new build experience in the marine /offshore industry/shore-based technical.
-
Minimum 5 years in positions of managerial responsibility.
-
Internal auditing experience.
