Marine Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience with various marine systems and equipment. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine vessels to ensure optimal performance and safety on the water. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with power tools and specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in marine vessels.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, electrical systems, and other critical components.
• Utilize power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
• Fabricate parts as needed using sheet metal techniques.
• Solder connections and ensure proper wiring for electrical systems.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vessels to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Collaborate with other technicians and service staff to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience as a mechanic or service technician in the marine industry.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in using power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics related to marine systems.
• Previous experience in militarized environments is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
