Maritime Compliance Officer: DPSST Unarmed Security Professional

Job Summary

This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by leadership, staying on post until relived.

We have an immediate need for a professional minded unarmed security professional
Officers for ongoing Maritime Compliance Officer positions for government vessel protection assignments. Between immediate need to potential start date of 10APRIL2026 The duties are performed in Swan Island, OR while the vessel is at berth. Hours of operation are 24 hours per day / 7 days per week. Successful Candidates MUST HAVE an ACTIVE/CURRENT Oregon Unarmed Security License. As this is a position working with the U.S. Government you must also have a U.S. Passport or U.S. Birth Certificate to be considered for this position. This position is also cross trained on being responsible for maintaining secure access control at the primary facility entrance while supporting operational awareness through surveillance systems. This cross-trained position requires the ability to multitask, remain vigilant, and operate technical systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Providing Access Control Points to several U.S. military assets while at berth.
  • Must remain on post until properly relieved.
  • Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Though there are guard shacks at various stations, this position may require you to be in the elements for long periods at times and there a foot patrols that must be completed.
  • Must be able to communicate well via phone, radio, and written reports.
  • Monitor Access control computer screens for People coming and going from vessels and gates.
  • Due to the requirements of the assignment first 90 days no call offs/no call no show.
  • Must communicate and work well with others as you will be working alongside several other security officers and shipyard personnel that are in close proximity throughout the day.
  • This is a customer service attitude environment so we will need the security personnel to put their best foot forward to be courteous and pleasant when interacting with visitors and other shipyard staff.
  • Adhere to strict uniform policies and grooming standards

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 3 year experience as an OR DPSST Licensed Unarmed Security Officer.
  • Ability to utilize various Security Officer Reporting App's such as TrackTik
  • Team Oriented
  • Be able to follow directions
  • Attention to detail is a must.
