Marker Sorter

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1.1 Ensures all items are sorted, counted and marked correctly.

1.2 Ensures that guests are met in time and to the set standards.

1.3 Receives guest laundry and dry cleaning; check the items against the list submitted by the guest.

1.4 Sorts out, segregate and checks items prior to marking.

1.5 Ensures items are ready for delivery at the specified times.

1.6 Responsible for any missing items and mishandled guest articles.

1.7 Inspects and sorts cleaned guest articles according to the room number. Ensures they are ready for delivery after verifying they are properly cleaned and pressed.

1.8 Keeps work area clean and in an orderly condition.

1.9 Reports any loss or damage of fixtures and equipment to the Laundry Manager.

1.10 Answers telephone, records Guest calls in the logbook and passes the details to the Valets.

1.11 Assists in helping out in other areas of the laundry when necessary.

1.12 Assists and trains other laundry members in the process of marking.

1.13 Assists in inventories.

1.14 Carries out any special work assignments.

1.15 To be familiar with and carry out the policies and procedures set by the hotel and company.

1.16 Assists in implementing emergency procedures when requested.

1.17 Attends meetings.

1.18 Participates in continuous training.

1.19 Shows a positive and attentive attitude towards guests and fellow colleagues at all times

1.20 Maintains a harmonious relationship with all staff.

1.21 May be required to work different shifts and to do overtime if required.

1.22 To be punctual, honest and hard working.

Pay: AED1,800.00 per month
