Market Researcher - Primary research

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary research through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and direct outreach.
  • Identify and engage with target respondents, decision-makers, and industry experts.
  • Design and manage questionnaires, discussion guides, and feedback forms.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed research reports, presentations, and executive summaries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (consulting, marketing, product, recruitment, etc.) to deliver insights aligned with client requirements.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Maintain respondent databases and ensure high-quality, ethical research practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (for conducting interviews and drafting reports).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, or data visualization tools.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in research, recruitment, or data collection (preferred, not mandatory for fresher roles).

Nice to Have (Preferred)

  • Exposure to market research tools/CRM/ATS.
  • Knowledge of survey platforms (SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Google Forms, Typeform, etc.).
  • Experience working in B2B or B2C research projects.
